About
I am a food scholar, researcher, and writer. Broadly, I write about innovations in food, asking how have we conceptualize food throughout history and how do we talk about food now. Innovation in food is more than a science-technology story; it’s about changes in our values, desires, and actions. Food tells us a story of our past, reveals who we are today, and I hope to help write the story of where food can take us in the future.
Working in nonprofits, government and legal organizations, as well as media and journalistic spaces, I developed a range of skills which have allowed me to adapt to the language of whatever role I step into. I have written for digital media outlets, published in academic journals, wrote Substack pieces, and most recently, worked for Bon Appétit. I take great personal pride in also being a great listener which informs my own direct writing style, sharp analysis, and thorough research abilities.
This website is a portfolio of selected works, demonstrating a diversity of mediums and breadth of interests, connected by a simple desire to tell a story about how food is constantly evolving.
